C/D/H Adds Life Sciences Expertise to Governing Board
Grand Rapids, MI—C/D/H today announced that Bryon Campbell, chief information officer of the Van Andel Institute, will help shape the company’s strategic direction as its newest board member. Campbell brings life science industry expertise, as well as strong education, leadership and management skills to the technology consulting company’s governing board.
“Bryon’s knowledge and experience in technology-based, forward-thinking environments will be invaluable to C/D/H as it continues to expand its consulting practice,” states Doug Lindhout, partner and director of staff and internal services at C/D/H. “Current board members’ positive and thought-provoking business interactions with Bryon generated unanimous agreement that he would offer beneficial insight to the direction of our company.”
Campbell has been with the Van Andel Institute (VAI) since 2000, where he continues to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives, considering the organization’s unique research, academic and entrepreneurial needs. Campbell is an internal review board member for the VAI and is responsible for implementing, managing and enforcing security directives as mandated by HIPAA.
For three years, Campbell served on the board of directors for the Great Lakes Bioinformatics Consortium, an organization created for the advancement and collaboration of experts in the field of advanced bioinformatics and to foster knowledge sharing with universities and private industry. Campbell was the co-director of bioinformatics for the Michigan Life Sciences Corridor, where he provided leadership for the Core Technology Alliance. Campbell also directed and managed bioinformatics on behalf of the Michigan Center for Biological Information, west and southwest portions of Michigan.
Campbell received his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Louisiana’s Southwest University. Campbell studied computer science and mathematics at Western Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.
Campbell joins Carol Blundy, Dale Robertson and Keith Dierking as outside directors on C/D/H’s board.
