Client Advisory
Microsoft says it is planning to deliver 13 security updates at the end of this month that will deliver the company’s largest-ever number of patches to fix flaws in all Windows versions, as well as Internet Explorer, Office, SQL Server, important developer tools and Forefront. Among the updates will be the first for the RTM code of Windows 7.
Depending on your integration of these applications with other enterprise or customer applications, this could be a significant event with some potential for system disruption. You may want to carry out due diligence in preparing for the patches if:
- security of your server infrastructure is critical
- your organization has production Windows servers
- production Windows servers are accessible via the Internet
- Microsoft SQL servers are in your production environment
- you have applications that rely on Windows security to operate correctly
